Biaxial plastic geogrid is a type of geosynthetic material that is used for soil reinforcement in civil engineering and construction applications. It is made from polypropylene (PP) and is designed with a grid structure that provides strength and stability in two directions (biaxial).
The plastic geogrid consists of a series of intersecting ribs or strands that form a grid pattern. The ribs are typically extruded to have a uniform thickness and width, and they are then stretched in both the machine direction (MD) and cross-machine direction (CMD) during the manufacturing process. This stretching imparts high tensile strength to the geogrid in both directions.
