Nonwoven geotextile is a permeable synthetic fabric made from polypropylene or polyester fibers that are mechanically bonded (needle-punched) or thermally bonded.

Unlike woven geotextiles, nonwoven fabrics have a random fiber orientation, giving them excellent filtration, drainage, and separation properties. They are widely used in civil engineering, road construction, landscaping, and environmental projects.
