3D Composite Drainage Network Components
- Core Structure: The core of the drainage network consists of a three-dimensional, open structure that allows water to flow through. It can be made from materials such as geonet, geospacer, or geocomposite. The core provides the primary drainage pathways for water.
- Filter/Protection Layer: The filter or protection layer is placed above or below the core structure. It prevents soil particles from clogging the core while allowing water to pass through freely. This layer is typically made of non-woven geotextile or geocomposite fabric.
